Alberta Healthcare Reality accepts firsthand accounts, corrections, and relevant information related to Alberta’s healthcare system.

All submissions are reviewed manually. Nothing is published automatically.

Submission Method

You can copy the address or click it to open your email app. This page will remain open.

Use the subject line:

Submission: Patient Story
or
Submission: Healthcare Worker Perspective
or
Submission: Correction / Data

What to Include

Please include the following in your email:

1. Type of submission
   • Patient story
   • Family member experience
   • Healthcare worker perspective
   • Correction or clarification
2. Location and timeframe
   • City or region (no addresses)
   • Approximate dates (month/year is sufficient)
3. Your account or information
   • Plain text is preferred
   • First-person accounts are encouraged
4. Consent
   Include one of the following statements:
   • “I consent to this story being published anonymously.”
   • “I consent to this story being published with my approval.”
5. Contact preference
   • You may be contacted for clarification
   • Or request no follow-up contact

Important Notes

• Submissions may be edited for clarity, length, or anonymity
• Identifying details are removed unless explicit permission is given
• Not all submissions will be published

What We Do Not Accept

• Requests for medical advice
• Emergency situations
• Political campaigning
• Advertising, fundraising, or cryptocurrency promotion
• Defamatory claims without supporting context

If your submission does not meet these guidelines, it may not be reviewed.
