Alberta Healthcare Reality is an independent project focused on examining how Alberta’s healthcare system operates in practice – including where it succeeds, where it fails, and where improvement is possible.
The project emphasizes access to care, wait times, staffing levels, service availability, and regional disparities, particularly in communities north of the 55th parallel where access to local services is often limited.
Content on this site is informational in nature. It is not affiliated with Alberta Health Services, the Government of Alberta, or any political organization.
The goal of this project is not advocacy or partisanship, but transparency- presenting verifiable information, lived experience, and policy context in a way that allows readers to understand the system as it exists today and consider evidence-based improvements.
